Soft Science is an open-access journal that focuses on the innovative and interdisciplinary research on soft materials and devices. The journal aims to publish high-quality research that advances our understanding and application of soft matter innovation. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:Mechanism, design, properties, manufacturing and applications of soft materials, structures, electronics and systems.Soft Materials: Development, synthesis, properties characterization, and applications of novel soft materials, soft matter, including fluids, liquid metal, gels, fibers, textiles, elastomers, polymers, tissue, biomaterials, bioinspired materials, smart materials, energy materials, and functional composites, etc.Soft Structures: Novel structures to enable the softness of the materials and devices. It includes flexible composite structure, organoids, bioinspired structures, hybrid thin films and structures, flexible metamaterials, etc.Soft Electronics: Soft, flexible, stretchable, wearable electronics, optoelectronics, sensors/actuators, biomedicine, nanogenerators, supercapacitor, solid state batteries, wearable batteries, solar cell, conformable, curved and deployable electronics, etc.Soft Systems: Soft robotics, smart skins, and human machine interfaces, implantable devices; flexible intelligent system, self-powered system, etc.Advanced Fabrication Technologies: Fabrication of/for/by soft materials, soft structures, soft electronics, and soft system, etc.Through the platform of Soft Science, we aim to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration to advance the frontier of soft materials and devices innovation.
