Soft Science Reaches New Heights: Impact Factor Climbs to 15.9 and Secures Top 8% Global Ranking

Clarivate Analytics released the 2025 edition of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) on June 17, 2026. We are delighted to announce that Soft Science has achieved an Impact Factor (IF) of 15.9 since its inception in 2021, representing an impressive 76% increase over the previous year. In the Materials Science category, Multidisciplinary, Soft Science ranked 36th among 472 journals (36/472), placing it in the top 8% worldwide (Q1).

This achievement has been made possible by the unwavering support and contributions of our Editorial Board members, Youth Editorial Board members, Guest Editors, reviewers, authors, readers, and partners. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all scholars and colleagues who have contributed to and supported the growth of Soft Science over the years.
