OAE Publishing Inc. and Huazhong University of Science and Technology Establish Strategic Partnership to Support the Development of Soft Science

In December 2025, OAE Publishing Inc. and Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, formally entered into a strategic partnership to promote the development of the journal Soft Science (SS; ISSN 2769-5441). The collaboration aims to build a high-level international platform for academic exchange in the field of flexible science and to encourage continued innovation within the discipline.

HUST is one of China's leading comprehensive research universities, known for its strengths in mechanical engineering, optoelectronic information, materials science, biomedical engineering, and healthcare. The university has played an important role in advancing research and development in flexible science.

Prof. YongAn Huang, Editor-in-Chief of SS and a professor of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at HUST, is a well-recognized researcher in flexible science and has been instrumental in shaping the journal's academic direction. Under his leadership, SS has developed steadily since its launch in 2021 and continues to expand its visibility within the research community.

This partnership marks a meaningful step in the journal's growth. By combining the resources and expertise of OAE Publishing Inc. and HUST, the collaboration will facilitate broader academic engagement, attract contributions from diverse research communities, and further strengthen the journal's foundation for long-term development. The initiative is expected to foster international academic exchanges and support the continued advancement of flexible science.
