During the meeting, the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Godefridus J. Peters from the Cancer Center Amsterdam, Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Amsterdam UMC), the Netherlands, together with Editorial Board Members, primarily discussed a new column Special Collection. This new Special Collection aims to provide a professional and authoritative platform for the dissemination and exchange of cutting-edge knowledge on cancer drug resistance research. Encompassing a broader range of topics than regular Special Issues, this "Special Collection" will address all aspects related to cancer drug resistance. After careful consideration, the managing editor of CDR and three experts from the National Institutes of Health, USA, reached a consensus to organize the new Special Collection. The Special Collection titled "New Mechanisms of Multidrug Resistance" has already been released and can be accessed at: https://oaepublish.com/collections/cdr.11
