Celebrating 48 Editorial Board Members of Cancer Drug Resistance Journal Named Among the “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024”
On September 16, 2024, Stanford University and Elsevier jointly released the list of the world’s top 2% scientists. This list primarily focuses on two rankings: the “Career-long Impact,” which highlights lifetime scientific influence, and the “Single-year Impact,” which emphasizes academic achievements within a single year. We are excited to congratulate forty-eight Editorial Board members from the Cancer Drug Resistance (CDR) journal who were included in the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list. Among them, 27 Editorial Board members were featured on both the “Career-long Impact” and "Single-year Impact" lists, 4 Editorial Board members were included in the “Career-long Impact” ranking, 17 Editorial Board members were featured in the “Single-year Impact” ranking, which focuses on annual academic achievements. The “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024” list is compiled using data from the Scopus database. It takes into account six key factors: total citations (distinguishing between self-citations and external citations), Hirsch H-index, Schreiber Hm-index adjusted for co-authorship, and contributions as sole, first, or lead author. From nearly 7 million scientists worldwide, only the top 2% are selected across 22 fields and 174 subfields, highlighting the exceptional influence of CDR’s Editorial Board members in academia and the journal’s significant impact on cancer drug resistance research.
