11 December: OAE Publishing Inc. and Southeastern University have forged a strategic cooperation agreement to build the journal EM.

17-19 November: EM has successfully held "The First Forum for New Energy Materials Innovation and Development and the In-Depth Empowerment Conference for Advancing New Energy Industry".

28 October: the EM Journal website was completely redesigned and upgraded, greatly enhancing browsing speed.

4 August: EM was included in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
