The Appointment Meeting of New Associate Editors of Mini-invasive Surgery Successfully Held
The appointment meeting of Associate Editors of Mini-invasive Surgery (MIS) was successfully held on July 12, 2021. The meeting was hosted by the Editor-in-Chief Professor Giulio Belli and mainly discussed two topics in detail: manuscript quality control and journal development.
The whole meeting was divided into three parts:
1. The Editor-in-Chief announced the decision to increase the Associate Editor(s) position and emphasized the manuscript process;
2. The Editor-in-Chief officially announced eight experts as Associate Editors;
3. Acknowledgement and summary from the Editorial Office.
Not long ago, in the first Editorial Board meeting on June 15, 2021, we made a plan for the development of MIS. In order to achieve our goal, we need more support and professional checks to ensure the quality of our publications. After a series of discussions, we all agreed that the Associate Editor(s) is the key person to decide whether to accept manuscripts and control the quality of manuscripts in such a wide range of disciplines for the scope of MIS. Therefore, every decision of the Associate Editor(s) will affect the quality of MIS. The quality of publications is fundamental and the most crucial conditions to become an influential journal.
After complete discussion and confirmation, Professor Giulio Belli officially announced the following experts as the Associate Editors of MIS. Some of the experts were unable to attend the meeting in person due to time conflicts, but the consensus has been officially confirmed and reached by email.
