Innovating through backlogs: The NHS Future of Surgery Conference
Time and Venue: virtually on 19th October 2021
About: Surgical innovation has an essential role in surgical practice. Over the last 50 years in particular, innovations have improved patient outcomes, reduced complication rates and length of hospital stay, all while decreasing morbidity and mortality. Of course, this carries risks without proper evaluation, governance and training. We are in truly exciting times for NHS innovation, the recent pandemic has provided the perfect catalyst for innovation scale-up, and surgery departments are not missing out on the party. Our upcoming Innovating through backlogs: The NHS Future of Surgery Conference will provide a platform for NHS based surgeons to listen and learn about new policy and best practice while networking and sharing insights with NHS based and international peers.
