Q1: Prof. Piccaluga, your work has significantly deepened our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying acute myeloid leukemia and other hematologic malignancies. Could you share which current research areas excite you the most, and what continues to drive your passion in this field?
Q2: Bridging basic research and clinical application is a major challenge in cancer biology. In your experience, what are the key barriers to successful translational research? How do you see technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, multi-omics and single-cell analysis advancing leukemia research?

Prof. Pier Paolo Piccaluga, Professor of Pathology, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy.
Prof. Piccaluga's research focuses on the molecular pathogenesis of acute myeloid leukemia, lymphomas, and other hematologic malignancies. By applying genomic and transcriptomic analyses, his group seeks to identify diagnostic biomarkers and novel therapeutic targets. Prof. Piccaluga has authored 264 high-impact publications, with a cumulative 13298 citations, significantly contributing to the advancement of precision medicine.
