CF10/LV overcomes acquired resistance to 5-FU/LV in colorectal cancer cells through downregulation of the c-Myc/ABCB5 axis

Figure 1. Resistance to 5-FU/LV converges on a lack of efficacy in inhibiting TS due to: (i) elevated TS expression; (ii) inefficient conversion to the TS inhibitory metabolite FdUMP; and/or (iii) activation of the c-Myc/ABCB5 axis. CF10 is efficiently converted to FdUMP, resulting in strong TS inhibition even when the enzyme is expressed at elevated levels.
