Cover Picture: In recent years, more researchers are inputting for novel EV isolations and quantifications. Here, we reviewed the commonly used and high potentials methods for EV research. ExoDisc is one of the representatives of a microfluidic system designed for EV isolation which combines sequential filtration and centrifugation steps for low viscosity fluids. With a centrifugal force limit of 500 g, EV sizes of 20-600 nm could be collected between two nano-filters, the filter I (600 nm pore size) and filter II (20 nm pore size). Filter I will remove large particles, and Filter II will enrich the EVs and exclude free proteins. This system enables isolation of EV in 30 min with a recovery of 95%.
