Cover Picture: Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have attracted extensive attention as new drug delivery vectors and cell-free therapies. In this issue, Chunping Liu et al. discussed the challenges of EVs as a nano-theranostic system and proposed a solution of nucleic acid functionalization based on the recent advances. The cover image illustrates the metaphor of the sun dispelling dark clouds to represent the EVs cure disease. In this process, functional nucleic acids provide a constant source of energy for EVs.
