Special Issue

Topic: Polymer-based Nanocomposites for Energy Storage and Conversion
Guest Editor
Special Issue Introduction
Polymer-based nanocomposites, possessing both flexibility and various electrical functions, are promising candidates for flexible electronics. In particular, these functions involve multi-field coupling effects, such as piezoelectricity and thermoelectricity, converting mechanical and thermal energy into electricity or vice versa, thereby enabling the creation of a wide variety of functional devices, ranging from high-power capacitors, memories, and transducers to energy harvesters, sensors, and more. Given the significance and broad impact of this topic in soft science, there is a fast-growing body of work and a growing number of excellent researchers working in this field worldwide. We are excited to launch this Special Issue as a platform for researchers to share their latest progress in polymer-based nanocomposites as various functional materials and their applications in energy storage and conversion, providing the community with a channel to stay informed about developments in this field.
