Intelligent Networking and Computing Holds Inaugural Editorial Board Meeting to Advance International Development Strategy

On June 11, 2026, Intelligent Networking and Computing (INECT) successfully held its inaugural online Editorial Board Meeting, organized by the journal's Editorial Office. The meeting was chaired by Editor-in-Chief Prof. Zehui Xiong, who opened the meeting with welcoming remarks and provided strategic guidance for the journal's continued high-quality development. A total of 14 experts, including the Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Managing Editors, attended the meeting. Participants represented universities and research institutions across the globe, reflecting the journal's expanding international academic network. During the meeting, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the journal's development strategy and its growing global academic influence.

The meeting featured extensive discussions on key topics, including the journal's strategic positioning, academic quality assurance, manuscript management, international collaboration, and academic branding. Prof. Xiong emphasized that Intelligent Networking and Computing is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on intelligent networking and computing theories and technologies. The journal focuses on frontier and interdisciplinary research covering intelligent network architecture, distributed and high-performance computing, artificial intelligence algorithms, big data processing, and network security. Through rigorous peer-review standards and a strong international developmental strategy, the journal aims to continuously enhance its academic influence and global visibility.

Prof. Xiong also provided a detailed overview of the journal's publishing vision and future development strategy. Intelligent Networking and Computing welcomes original research articles, surveys, and visionary perspectives, with the goal of promoting technological innovation and strengthening the integration of fundamental theories and practical information technology applications. To ensure efficient and high-quality publishing services, the journal has established a standardized and transparent editorial workflow jointly managed by the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board, to support rigorous peer review and timely publication.

Ms. Peiyuan Fan, Associate Editor of OAE Publishing Inc., introduced OAE's development and growth. During the discussion session, participants actively put forward valuable suggestions on targeted article invitations, collaboration with domestic and international research institutions, special issue planning, quality assurance for the inaugural issue, and enhancing the journal's academic reputation and global visibility. At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Xiong expressed sincere gratitude to all editorial board members for their support and constructive comments, outlined the strategic priorities for the journal's next phase of development, and stated that the journal would further explore opportunities to hold in-person Editorial Board meetings.

The successful convening of this inaugural Editorial Board Meeting laid a solid foundation for the journal's future publication strategy, academic standards, and international outreach, marking an important milestone in the development of Intelligent Networking and Computing.
