Three Editorial Board Members and Two Youth Editorial Board Members of Disaster Prevention and Resilience Featured in the List of "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers 2023" Announced by Elsevier
On March 27, 2024, Elsevier released its "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers" list for 2023. This compilation relies on Scopus, the world's premier citation and index database, as the primary statistical source for evaluating the scientific research achievements of Chinese scholars. The methodology utilized in this assessment is developed by Shanghai Soft Science Education Information Consulting Co., LTD.
We are delighted to announce that three Editorial Board members, namely Prof. Jie Li, Prof. Qingyun Duan, and Prof. Xuanfei Fan, along with two Youth Editorial Board members, Prof. Decheng Feng and Dr. Zhiyi Chen, from the Disaster Prevention and Resilience (DPR) journal, have been prominently featured in this esteemed list.

The Yangtze River Scholar, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Director of the Shanghai Institute of Disaster Prevention and Relief, President of the International Society of Structural Safety and Reliability, Fellow of the Engineering Mechanics Society of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Vice President of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering.
Editorial Board Member
Prof. Qingyun Duan
College of Hydrology and Water Resources, Hohai University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China.
He is a founding leader of the College of Fellows of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and a member of the scientific Steering Committee of the World Climate Research Program Academy (WCRP Academy) and the Global Water and Energy Exchange (GEWEX) Project. Additionally, he is one of the initiators of the International Hydrological Ensemble Forecasting Experiment (HEPEX) and the current Asian Regional Chair of HEPEX.

Prof. Xuanfei Fan
State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection, Chengdu University of Technology, Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
She is currently the Deputy Director and researcher of the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection. Recognized for her achievements, she is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and the 2022 "Scientific Exploration Award". With a steadfast commitment to studying the mechanism and prediction of strong earthquake geological disasters over an extensive period, she has authored more than 140 academic papers in top international journals. Among these, more than 90 are included in SCI, with 10 papers listed as ESI highly cited. Her research has garnered over 4800 citations, placing her among the world's top 2% scientists.
Youth Editorial Board member
Prof. Decheng Feng
School of Civil Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, Jiangsu, China.
As a Professor at Southeast University, he has been recognized through appointments to the National Association for Science and Technology "Young Science and Technology Talent Promotion Project" and has received distinctions such as Jiangsu Province Excellent Youth, Southeast University "Excellent Scholar (A level)". Additionally, he is currently Deputy Editor of ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering, an authoritative SCI journal in this field, and serves as an editorial member of Engineering Failure Analysis, another well-known SCI journal. He mainly engages in damage and failure analysis of complex engineering structures, probabilistic evaluation of structural performance considering uncertainty, and structural calculation methods assisted by machine learning technology.
Youth Editorial Board member
Prof. Zhiyi Chen
Department of Geotechnical Engineering College of Civil Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China.
She is a member of the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), Shanghai Civil Engineering Society, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, Scientific Research Start-up Fund for Returned Overseas Students, and an evaluation expert of science and technology projects and achievements awarded by Shanghai.
