2023 Annual Report of Disaster Prevention and Resilience

In the past year, Disaster Prevention and Resilience (DPR, ISSN: 2832-4056) has achieved considerable progress and breakthroughs. As we welcome the new year, the Editorial Office of DPR would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the authors, readers, reviewers, and Editorial Board members who have continuously supported DPR.

Here, the Editorial Office summarizes the achievements made in 2023 from the following aspects:

1. Publication

In 2023, DPR received 43 submissions and published 4 issues (Figure 1), including 23 manuscripts (19 Research Articles, 3 Review Articles, and 1 Perspective). This reflects a continued increase of around 65% from the previous two years. So far, we have received 30,505 views and 13,383 downloads. The top downloaded articles during the last two years can be found below (Table 1).

2. Editorial Board

As of December 31, 2023, DPR boasts 48 Editorial Board members representing 19 countries, including China, the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, etc. (Figure 2)

3. Authorship:

As of December 31, 2023, authors contributing to DPR come from 9 countries around the world, including China, USA, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Japan, etc. Numerous authors work in world-renowned institutes, such as Tongji University, Harbin Institute of Technology, University at Buffalo, University of Maryland in the USA, Nanyang Technological University, Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands, etc. (Figure 3)

4. Special Issues

In 2023, we launched 14 Special Issues under the leadership of renowned researchers from Tongji University, Sichuan University, Nanjing University, Chinese Academy of Science, the University of Sydney in Australia, the University of Naples Federico II, Naples in Italy, the University at Buffalo in the USA, the University of Bath in the United Kingdom, etc. (Figure 4)

5. Cooperating Partner

In order to keep up with cutting-edge trends in the field and increase the influence of DPR, we have successfully established a cooperation with ResearchGate. (Figure 5)

Overall, 2023 has marked significant progress for DPR. Looking ahead to 2024, we pledge to continue adhering to the principle of high-quality publishing with higher standards, serving more scholars, publishing more high-quality articles, and promoting the development and progress of science. We would like to sincerely appreciate all contributors to DPR and eagerly anticipate your continuous support in advancing the development of the journal. We expect more scientists and researchers in this field to join us.
