Advanced Energy Conversion Holds Inaugural Editorial Board Meeting to Advance International Development Strategy

On March 6, 2026, Advanced Energy Conversion successfully held its inaugural online Editorial Board Meeting via a virtual conferencing platform, organized by the journal's Editorial Office. The meeting was chaired by Executive Editor Prof. Wei-Hsin Chen, and Editor-in-Chief Prof. Wei-Mon Yan delivered the opening remarks and provided strategic guidance for the journal's future development. A total of 22 experts, including Associate Editors, Editorial Board Members, and Young Editorial Board Members, attended the meeting. Participants represented universities and research institutions across Asia, Europe, and Africa, reflecting the journal's expanding international academic network. During the meeting, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the journal's development strategy and its future global academic influence.

The meeting featured extensive exchanges on key topics, including the journal's positioning, academic quality assurance, manuscript management, international collaboration, and academic branding. Prof. Yan emphasized that Advanced Energy Conversion is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on advanced energy conversion science, technologies, and systems. The journal focuses on frontier and interdisciplinary studies in energy conversion, covering areas such as renewable energy conversion, catalytic processes, electrochemical energy systems, thermochemical conversion, and integrated energy systems. Through rigorous peer-review standards and a strong internationalization strategy, the journal aims to continuously enhance its academic influence and visibility worldwide.

Prof. Yan also introduced the journal's publishing vision and future development plan in detail. Advanced Energy Conversion will publish a broad range of article types, including original research articles, reviews, perspectives, short communications, and commentaries, with the goal of promoting innovation and strengthening the integration of fundamental research and applied energy technologies. To ensure efficient and high-quality publication services, the journal has established a standardized and efficient editorial workflow jointly managed by the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board, enabling rigorous peer review and timely publication.

During the discussion session, participants actively shared valuable suggestions regarding manuscript solicitation, engagement with international research communities, Special Issue planning, early-career researcher involvement, and the enhancement of the journal's academic reputation and global visibility. Prof. Yan concluded the meeting by expressing his sincere appreciation to all board members for their support and constructive input, and outlined the journal's strategic priorities for the next stage of development.

The successful convening of this inaugural Editorial Board Meeting laid a solid foundation for the journal's future publication strategy, academic quality standards, and international outreach efforts, marking an important milestone in the development of Advanced Energy Conversion.
