Bio
She obtained the PhD in Biochemistry (2008) at Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). As a postdoctoral fellow (2008-2014), she joined the Spanish National Research Council (Madrid, Spain) and focused on the study of the molecular mechanisms involved in peripheral insulin action, specially the molecular mechanisms of hepatic insulin resistance and sensitivity. Meanwhile (2013-2014), she moved to University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK). Since 2015, she is an independent researcher of the Health Research Institute “Hospital Universitario de La Princesa”, heading a laboratory based on the study the molecular mechanisms involved in the progression of chronic liver diseases and their metabolic implications.
Research Interests
