CD9+ and CD82+ extracellular vesicles in synovial fluid differentiate aseptic from septic endoprosthesis loosening

Figure 3. Synovial fluids of patients with aseptic endoprosthesis loosening contain significantly more CD9+ and significantly fewer CD82+ EVs than those of PJI patients. Aliquots of marginally preprocessed synovial fluids were individually labeled with anti-CD9, anti-CD63, anti-CD66b, anti-CD82, and anti-HLA-DR antibodies and analyzed by IFCM as depicted in Figure 1. The concentration of recorded EVs is provided as objects/mL synovial fluid. Data are presented as dot plots with median and range. Significances were determined using the Mann-Whitney test.
