Special Issue Introduction
Single-Port Robotic Surgery (SPRS) is rapidly emerging as a transformative approach in urology, offering reduced trauma, faster recovery, and improved cosmetic outcomes through a single-incision technique.
This Special Issue, “Single-Port Robotic Surgery in Urology: Current Applications and Future Perspectives,” aims to highlight the latest advances and future directions in SPRS. We welcome contributions focusing on surgical innovations, postoperative care, cost-effectiveness, and multicenter clinical studies.
Our goal is to provide a high-level platform for global academic exchange, promoting the development, standardization, and broader adoption of SPRS worldwide.
Topics can be discussed (but are not limited to):
1. SP Robotic Surgery in the Treatment of Urologic Cancers;
2. SP Robotic Surgery for Prostate, Kidney, and Bladder Cancer;
3. Patient Selection and Preoperative Evaluation in SP Robotic Surgery;
4. Surgical techniques in SP Robotic Surgery;
5. Comparative Outcomes of Single-Port vs. Multi-Port Robotic Urologic Surgery;
6. Intraoperative Challenges and Complication Management in SP Robotic Surgery;
7. Learning Curve, Surgeon Training, and Dissemination of SPRS Techniques;
8. Technological Innovations and the Future of SP Robotic Platforms.
