Special Topic Introduction
This Special Topic aims to highlight recent advances in AI-driven polymer materials research, covering emerging methodologies from molecular representation learning and generative models to autonomous polymer synthesis and characterization. Particular emphasis will be placed on the integration of artificial intelligence with polymer chemistry, computational modeling, and experimental platforms to facilitate the discovery of sustainable, high-performance, and functional polymer systems.
Topics of interest include machine learning-assisted polymer property prediction, generative AI for polymer molecular design, polymer foundation models, polymer databases and knowledge graphs, AI-enabled synthesis optimization, and intelligent characterization technologies. This Special Topic welcomes Research Articles, Reviews, Perspectives, and Rapid Communications that demonstrate how materials informatics can reshape polymer research and accelerate the development of next-generation polymer materials.
