Special Topic Introduction

Aligned with The Journal of Cardiovascular Aging’s mission to build a premier, transparent international platform for disseminating cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research on inflammation-related cardiovascular health, this Special Issue centers on inflammation—a pivotal conserved driver that links the development of vascular lesions to the initiation, progression, and worsening of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). It aims to bridge critical gaps between preclinical mechanistic discoveries and real-world clinical practice, advancing evidence-based strategies for managing inflammation across the spectrum of CVD.

We welcome high-quality submissions, including original basic research, clinical trials, and systematic reviews/meta-analyses. Key focus areas encompass:

1. Mechanistic investigations into cardiovascular inflammation and endothelial dysfunction, including but not limited to inflammatory signaling pathways and immunometabolic regulation;

2. Evidence-based interventions for cardiovascular diseases, including clinical strategies, pharmacotherapeutic advancements, and complementary and alternative medicine;

3. Clinical translation of anti-inflammatory findings in cardiovascular diseases, including validation in human cohorts, real-world data collection, and evidence-based methodologies to standardize prevention and treatment targeting vascular inflammation;

4. Other relevant and innovative research in the field.

All submissions must adhere to the rigorous guidelines of the journal. This collection seeks to consolidate interdisciplinary insights and guide the development of innovative, clinically actionable strategies, furthering the journal’s commitment to advancing cardiovascular research.

Keywords
