Special Issue Introduction
GEIVEX is a consolidated non-profit organization aiming to promote research, innovation and knowledge exchange in the field of Extracellular Vesicles (EVs). Our aim is to advance personalized medicine by developing new tools and biomarkers with high social impact to generate benefits and equality in global health. In Palma de Mallorca, we are celebrating our 7th biannual meeting, in which we will cover a combination of basic and clinical research on Extracellular Vesicles.
This EVCNA Special Issue intends to provide an up-to-date overview of some of the current developments in the field of Extracellular Vesicles research. This collection will comprise full papers, review articles, and short communications from all participants who would deliver either oral talks or poster presentations at the GEIVEX symposium in Palma de Mallorca, with a particular emphasis on Young EV Scientists, PhDs, and Postdocs. The following EV topics are welcomed:
1. Advances in EV methodology;
2. EVs in cancer;
3. EVs in infection and immunity;
4. EVs in neuro and other complex diseases;
5. EV-based therapy and translational medicine;
6. Fundamental EVs biology;
7. Liquid Biopsy and biomarkers.
