Special Topic Introduction

Extracellular vesicles (EVs) represent a promising cell-free therapeutic approach with immense potential for neural repair and regeneration. However, their clinical application remains limited by challenges in targeted delivery and precise functional control. This Special Issue aims to highlight innovative strategies that leverage advanced 3D bioprinting and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to address these bottlenecks and accelerate the development of next-generation neural regeneration strategies.

Core Themes and Call for Papers:

1. Intelligent Engineering of EVs;

2. Genetic and chemical modifications to enhance EVtargeting to neural cells;

3. 3D Bioprinting and Smart Scaffolds;

4. Fabrication of nerve conduits loaded with EVs to provide physical and biochemical guidance for axonal regeneration;

5. Co-printing of cells and EVs to construct complex neural organoid models for drug screening;

6. AI-Driven Prediction and Optimization of EVs.

Keywords

Extracellular vesicles, neural repair, neural regeneration, artificial intelligence, precise regulation, 3D Bioprinting
