Guest Editor(s)
Special Issue Introduction
Batteries are currently widely employed in electric vehicles, portable electronics, and energy storage systems. However, as battery energy density continues to increase, the fire safety challenges grow more pronounced, especially for applications with stringent safety requirements.
This Special Issue, entitled "Advancements in Safety Materials for Next-Generation Energy Technologies", aims to enhance performance competitiveness. Ongoing research is focused on developing and proposing new fire-resistant materials technologies with advanced features. The goal is for these newly proposed materials to enable the creation of "high-performance batteries" with both competitive electrochemical properties and enhanced safety features, thereby meeting market demands and benefiting the community.
