The rapid accumulation of various solid wastes has triggered severe environmental pollution and resource waste, while converting solid waste into high-performance multifunctional materials provides a sustainable win-win solution for resource recycling and environmental governance. This special issue focuses on the latest advances in the design, preparation, modification, and functional application of solid waste-based materials. It covers innovative technologies for waste resourceization, structural regulation strategies of waste-derived materials, and their applications in energy storage, catalysis, and carbon neutrality. This issue intends to collect original and insightful studies to promote the cross-integration of solid waste treatment and energy materials, and provide new perspectives for the development of low-cost, eco-friendly, and high-efficiency functional materials for energy.
