Special Issue Introduction
Porous Frameworks materials have been extensively studied over the past two decades. According to the different connection types, it can be divided into Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs, coordinate bonds) and Porous Organic Frameworks (POFs, covalent bonds). Porous Frameworks' structures can be rationally designed by choosing the right building blocks and topology. Benefiting from the abundance of building blocks and structures, functions such as separation, storage, catalysis, and sensing can be easily implanted in the skeleton. Nowadays, more and more innovative functional Porous Frameworks are being developed to solve the global crisis such as the greenhouse effect, and many research groups are working on the scale up of frameworks and pushing Porous Frameworks to practical industrial applications. This Special Issue collects recent developments in Porous Frameworks including new syntheses and functions.
