Special Issue Introduction

Under the dual background of global carbon neutrality goals and digital transformation, how enterprises can use digital technology to optimize carbon management and improve emission reduction efficiency has become a hot topic. This special issue focuses on the discipline of management and explores how digitalization empowers carbon footprint measurement, green finance, low-carbon supply chain, and policy regulation, responding to the following trends:

● International Trends: EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) and Carbon Data Disclosure, Standardized Application of AI in Carbon Accounting;

● Domestic policies: China's integration policy of "digital economy+green economy" and construction of carbon accounting system;

● Frontiers of disciplines: Application of digital twin technology in carbon management, metaverse and virtual carbon trading experiments.
