Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of mortality worldwide, claiming over 17 million deaths annually. Performing complex heart surgeries safely and effectively presents immense challenges. However, the convergence of robotic surgical systems with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning has the potential to revolutionize cardiovascular treatment and drastically improve patient outcomes. This Special Issue aims to analyze the evolution of AI-assisted robotics transforming cardiovascular surgery, discuss the latest technological advancements, real-world implementation, benefits demonstrated, and predict what the future may hold for this crucial field of cardiovascular surgery.
