Special Topic Introduction
The integration of artificial intelligence into robotic and minimally invasive urological surgery is rapidly transforming surgical planning, intraoperative decision-making, image guidance, training, and postoperative care. Advances in computer vision, machine learning, augmented reality, three-dimensional reconstruction, digital surgical platforms, and remote surgery are creating new opportunities to improve precision, safety, reproducibility, and personalized care. This Special Issue will explore the current and emerging role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies throughout the surgical pathway in urology, with particular attention to robotic surgery, image-guided interventions, surgical navigation and planning, predictive analytics, education and training, and the ethical, regulatory, and implementation challenges associated with these innovations. We welcome original research, reviews, technical innovations, and perspectives that help bridge technological development with meaningful clinical application.
