OneHealth Nexus(OHN) is an international peer-reviewed, open access journal.
Aims and Scope
OneHealth Nexus(OHN) is committed to advancing the understanding of the interactions between chemical/biological exposure, climate change, and ecosystem and human health. The journal serves as a premier platform for interdisciplinary research that highlights the roles and interactions of chemical, biological, and climatological factors in global health and their impact on individuals, populations, and ecosystems. By bridging the fields of environmental chemistry, toxicology, geoscience, public health, and policy management, OneHealth Nexus aims to address pressing global health issues through multivariate perspectives and advanced techniques. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:
Environmental Chemistry: Studies on the identification of anthropogenic chemicals with environmental relevance and the exploration of their sources, distribution, transformation, and fate in a natural and built environment.
Environmental Toxicology: Research on the toxic effects of chemical and biological hazards (e.g., antibiotic resistance genes) on humans, animals, and ecosystems, including studies on the exposure, risk assessment, and toxicity mechanisms at the molecular to ecosystem levels.
Climate Change and Global Health: Studies on the key climatological factors and events that may affect ecosystem and human health in the context of global climate change.
Environmental Health and Public Health: Understanding of human exposure to various chemical, biological, and climatological hazards, the link between exposure and human disease development, and the interactions between ecosystem health and human health.
Risk Assessment and Management: Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment of human and ecosystem exposure to chemical, biological, and climatological hazards; Analysis of policies, regulations, strategies, and innovative techniques for risk mitigation and management.
Data Sciences and One Health: Development and applications of novel data science tools, including machining learning and artificial intelligence, in the modeling and prediction of global health issues and solutions.
Case Studies and Applications: Real-world examples of chemical and biological safety, pollution control, and risk management that demonstrate the application of One Health principles.
