Dr. Julián Blasco Delivered a Plenary Talk and Introduced WEC&N at the VIII International Symposium on Marine Sciences
The VIII International Symposium on Marine Sciences (ISMS) is the most significant event for marine sciences in Spain, and it was successfully held from July 6 to July 8, 2022, in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. Our Editorial Board member, Dr. Julián Blasco from Department of Ecology and Coastal Management, ICMAN-CSIC, Campus Rio San Pedro, Puerto Real (Cádiz), Spain, delivered a plenary talk on "Emerging contaminants in the marine environment: The relevance of nano" on July 7, 2022.

Dr. Blasco is responsible for the research group "Ecotoxicology Ecophysiology and Biodiversity of Aquatic Systems" (PAIDI, RNM306 and CSIC groups), the Director of the "Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia" (2015-), and was Deputy Director (1994-1998), head of the Department of Oceanography (1998-2007), head of the Department of Ecology and Coastal Management (2007-2011), and the group leader of the Associate Unit "Interdisciplinary Oceanography" between the University of Cádiz and the CSIC (2004-2011), and the group leader of the Associate Unit "Blue Growth" between IFAPA and CSIC.
Dr. Julián Blasco also made a basic journal introduction on behalf of Water Emerging Contaminants & Nanoplastics (WEC&N).
