Dr. Elvis Genbo Xu Attended and Promoted WEC&N at the SETAC Europe 32nd Annual Meeting
The SETAC Europe 32nd Annual Meeting was successfully held from May 15 to May 19, 2022, in Copenhagen, Denmark. SETAC Europe is one of five Geographic Units (GU) of the global Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), established to promote and undertake activities of SETAC in Europe, and to support activities of SETAC in the Middle East and Russia.
Our Editorial Board member, Dr. Elvis Genbo Xu, from Department of Biology, University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark, attended this meeting and gave a poster presentation about toxicity of micro- and nanoplastics across different taxonomic groups: from bacteria to human cells.

Dr. Xu also introduced and promoted the journal Water Emerging Contaminants & Nanoplastics (WEC&N) during the conference.

Dr. Elvis Genbo Xu is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Sapere Aude Research Leader at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense. He received his Ph.D. from The University of Hong Kong as a prestigious James Henry Scott Scholar. Xu’s research combines state-of-the-art techniques from toxicology, aquatic biology, bioimaging, and omics to understand the impacts of emerging pollutants. His recent findings on micro-and nanoplastics have been covered by 200+ global media. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles in Acc Chem Res, PNAS, ES&T, ES&T Lett, ES Nano, J Hazard Mater, etc., with four ESI Highly Cited Papers and two Hot Papers.
