The First Editorial Board Meeting of Vessel Plus was Successfully Held Online
On 6 July, 2022, the first Editorial Board Meeting of Vessel Plus was held successfully. Twenty-six Editorial Board members participated in the meeting to witness the progress and breakthrough of Vessel Plus from 2021 to 2022.
Topics/activities of the meeting:
1. Current progress of Vessel Plus in publication, citation, readership, interview, webinar, and editorial team;2. Acknowledgment to Editorial Board members who made great contributions to Vessel Plus in Special Issues, publication, and article review;
3. Future development plan of Vessel Plus in Special Issues, webinars, interviews, editorial team, and database application;
4. Report on the strict manuscript processing procedure;
5. Free discussion about Vessel Plus development.
Firstly, the Assistant Editor of Vessel Plus, Alisa, reported the current progress and the future plan of Vessel Plus to Editorial Board members from the aspects of publication, citation, expert distribution, acknowledgments, Special Issues, and interviews.
Then, the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Alexander D. Verin, motivated to all Editorial Board members to contribute to Vessel Plus.

To ensure Vessel Plus publishes high-quality articles and is well prepared for database applications, manuscript processing editor Sharon subsequently presented the strict manuscript processing procedure. As a result, we hope Vessel Plus can bring more valuable research to readers with the joint efforts of the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board team.
Following the two reports, Managing Editor Jane organized a discussion session.
The Editorial Board members Prof. Annie Laurie Shroyer, Prof. Giuseppe Biondi-Zoccai, Dr. Jun Zhang, Dr. Yajing Wang, Dr. Alberto Cordero, Dr. Saravanan Subramaniam, and Dr. Mohammed Idhrees put forward many constructive suggestions and ideas for the development of Vessel Plus. The Editorial Office was deeply inspired.
