SecureAI is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain technologies, and big data analytics. About Prof. Athanasios V. Vasilakos
Prof. Athanasios V. Vasilakos is currently a Full Professor at the University of Agder (UiA), Grimstad, Norway, where he serves in the Center for AI Research (CAIR). He is also a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. With a distinguished academic career spanning more than two decades, he has made significant contributions to areas including secure network design, trust and privacy in distributed systems, cloud and edge computing security, and the application of machine learning to resilient cyberinfrastructure.
He has served on the Editorial Boards of numerous prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security and IEEE Transactions on NanoBioscience, and has been instrumental in shaping research agendas across cybersecurity and intelligent systems. Prof. Vasilakos has authored and co-authored more than 900 peer-reviewed publications (Google Scholar), spanning foundational theoretical work and applied research addressing real-world challenges in secure and trustworthy AI.
His broad international perspective and extensive collaborative experience across institutions and disciplines position him well to lead SecureAI. Under his editorial guidance, the journal will focus on secure artificial intelligence, trustworthy machine learning, privacy-preserving systems, and related technologies.
