Congratulations — 80% of the Editorial Board Members of Journal of Materials Informatics Listed Among the 2025 World's Top 2% Scientists
We are proud to announce that 47 Editorial Board Members and 38 Junior Editorial Board Members of the Journal of Materials Informatics (JMI) have been included in the prestigious 2025 World's Top 2% Scientists List, recently released by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier.
The list recognizes both single-year performance and career-long impact. Among JMI members, 84 were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions over the past year (single-year impact), while 47---representing 80% of the Editorial Board---were honored for their sustained, career-long achievements.
This comprehensive ranking, developed by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis and his team at Stanford University in partnership with Elsevier, is based on the C-score, a composite indicator that integrates six key citation metrics: total citations (with and without self-citations), h-index, and hm-index, across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields. The evaluation encompasses nearly seven million researchers worldwide, making it one of the most authoritative benchmarks of global scientific influence.
The recognition of so many Editorial Board and Junior Editorial Board Members underscores their exceptional contributions to science and highlights JMI's growing reputation as a leading platform advancing the field of materials informatics.
At JMI, we remain dedicated to publishing high-impact research and fostering collaboration among global experts. We look forward to supporting the continued contributions of our Editorial Board Members and Junior Editorial Board Members while driving innovation and excellence in materials informatics.
