Seven Editors of The Journal of Cardiovascular Aging (JCA) Attended the Great Wall International Congress of Cardiology (GW-ICC) 2024
The 35th Great Wall International Congress of Cardiology (GW-ICC 2024) was successfully held in conjunction with the Asian Heart Society Congress from November 7 to 10, 2024, in Beijing, China.
The theme of GW-ICC 2024 was “Innovation and Inventio, Dedication and Devotion”. Over its more than three-decade history, the GW-ICC has become China’s largest scientific platform for cardiovascular professionals. The congress has been working closely with major cardiology congresses in North America and Europe, while building a dedicated Asian platform within the framework of the Asian Heart Society.
Seven members of the JCA Editorial Board attended the congress. We are pleased to highlight their contributions below:
Prof. Peter Libby served as a moderator and delivered a talk titled Update on Targeting Inflammation in Atherosclerosis via the Joint Forum Channel .
Prof. Yi-bin Wang moderated and spoke on Metabolism Targeted Therapy for HFpEF.
Prof. Feng Cao moderated and presented on Assessment and Intervention of Coronary Microcirculation Disorders after Myocardial Infarction.
Prof. Zhigang She delivered a speech titled Lysosomal Proteins in the Regulation of Heart Failure.
Prof. Daowen Wang moderated the Cardiovascular Translational Forum (2) and Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Inherited Heart Diseases.
Prof. Junjie Xiao moderated and presented on Exercise-Induced Circular RNA CircUtrn is Required for Cardiac Physiological Hypertrophy and Prevents Myocardial Ischaemia-Reperfusion Injury.
Prof. Kuihong delivered a speech titled Genetic Testing for Hereditary Arrhythmias and Interpretation of Chinese Expert Consensus on Genetic Testing and Genetic Counseling for Hereditary Cardiovascular Diseases.
The JCA Journal is dedicated to building a premier, transparent international platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge basic, translational, and clinical research on aging and cardiovascular disease. Moving forward, JCA will continue to actively participate in academic conferences, publish high-quality research, and collaborate with researchers worldwide to advance the field of cardiovascular medicine.
