The “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024” list is compiled using data from the Scopus database and takes into account six key factors: total citations (distinguishing between self-citations and external citations), Hirsch H-index, Schreiber Hm-index adjusted for co-authorship, and contributions as sole, first, or lead author. From a pool of nearly 7 million scientists globally, the top 2% are selected across 22 fields and 174 subfields. This prestigious recognition highlights the exceptional contributions of JCA's Editorial Board members to academia and underscores the journal’s significant impact on aging and cardiovascular disease research.
