Plastic and Aesthetic Research (PAR) Editorial Office is excited to announce PAR’s official acceptance for inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI, Web of Science) on April 30, 2024. Behind this milestone lies our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the relentless dedication of our team. We have consistently strived to deliver high-quality academic content, ensuring the academic value and integrity of each article through rigorous peer-review processes. The inclusion in ESCI is a recognition of our efforts and serves as an impetus to uphold and surpass our current standards.

The Editorial Office would like to express sincere gratitude to all Editorial Board members, authors, reviewers, and readers who have generously supported and contributed to PAR over the years. We eagerly anticipate engaging and collaborating with the global academic community on the ESCI platform, reaffirming our commitment to providing a high-quality platform for publishing and disseminating academic research. We take immense pride in PAR's significant milestone of ESCI inclusion and remain steadfast in our dedication to advancing and enriching the academic community.

About ESCI:

ESCI was introduced by Thomson Reuters in late 2015 as a new database in Web of Science. At its launch, it included approximately 3,000 periodicals spanning a wide range of subjects. Since 2017, the index has been produced by Clarivate Analytics. The Emerging Sources Citation Index aims to extend the scope of publications within the Web of Science to include high-quality, peer-reviewed publications. To qualify for coverage, journals must meet the following criteria:

  • Peer-reviewed

  • Adheres to ethical publishing practices

  • Meets technical requirements

  • Includes English language bibliographic information

  • Recommended or requested by the scholarly audience using Web of Science

ESCI enhances the visibility of significant research within the Web of Science Core Collection. Therefore, inclusion in ESCI not only elevates the visibility of a journal but also serves as a hallmark of its quality, offering substantial benefits to authors.
