Warmest Congratulations to Editor-in-Chief Professor Jinde Cao on His Election as Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS)
On 26 June 2026, Intelligent Control Systems (ICS) is pleased to announce that its Editor-in-Chief, Professor Jinde Cao, Endowed Chair Professor at Southeast University, has been elected as a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS; Polska Akademia Nauk, PAN).

The election recognizes Professor Cao's outstanding contributions to science and engineering, particularly in the fields of complex systems, intelligent control, network science, and applied mathematics, as well as his extensive and long-standing research collaborations with Polish scientists. Election as a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences is among the Academy's highest academic honors, bestowed upon internationally distinguished scholars.
Founded in 1952, the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) is Poland's national academy of sciences and one of Europe's leading scientific institutions. Its Foreign Membership recognizes internationally renowned researchers who have made exceptional contributions to scientific advancement and international collaboration.

Professor Cao has made pioneering contributions to complex networks, nonlinear dynamical systems, intelligent control, and optimization. His achievements have earned him numerous prestigious distinctions, including his election as an IEEE Fellow, a Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a Member of Academia Europaea, a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a Member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and most recently, a Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He has also been recognized by Clarivate as a Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
As the founding Editor-in-Chief of Intelligent Control Systems, Professor Cao has played a pivotal role in establishing the journal as an international platform for cutting-edge research in intelligent control, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, robotics, and complex systems. Under his leadership, ICS remains dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary innovation and advancing global collaboration in intelligent control science and engineering.
