Published on: 6 May 2024 Viewed: 93

On April 25, 2024, The Energy Materials (EM) editorial team had the privilege of interviewing Prof. Federico Bella (Torino, 1987), an Associate Editor of the journal and Full Professor of Chemistry at Politecnico di Torino. Within the Electrochemistry Group, he spearheads research endeavors focused on post-Li batteries, electrochemical nitrogen reduction, and hybrid photovoltaics.

Prof. Bella joined our editorial team in 2024 based on his recognition of EM's publications and the journal's standing in the academic community. To deepen mutual understanding, we conducted an extensive interview covering various topics, including scientific research, journal responsibilities, work-life balance, and personal insights, providing a holistic view of his contributions and perspectives.

Interview Questions:

1)Firstly, Professor, could you please briefly introduce yourself and the main research work of your research group?

2)As the newly appointed Associate Editor of Energy Materials, what are your expectations for this journal? What criteria will guide manuscript selection?

3)You were previously invited to be the guest editor to organize a Special Issue on potassium-ion batteries in our journal. Could you please discuss the advantages of potassium-ion batteries in the current battery field?

4)Where do you consider are the bottlenecks and prospects for the industrialization of potassium-ion batteries?

5)Apart from research, what are your other interests or hobbies?
