Artificial Intelligence Surgery (AIS) is Now Listed in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) and the German Union Catalogue of Serials (ZDB)
Artificial Intelligence Surgery (AIS) is now listed in both the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) and the German Union Catalogue of Serials (ZDB).
Operated by the University Library of Regensburg, EZB is a cooperative e-journal service used by hundreds of academic libraries across Europe. It uses a traffic-light system to indicate full-text access rights. As a gold open-access journal, AIS is marked with green open-access status in its EZB entry, indicating that readers can access its full text without restriction.
The German Union Catalogue of Serials (ZDB) is one of the world's largest databases of serial publications, including journals, newspapers, monographic series, and other serials. It covers publications from all countries and in all languages, in print, electronic, or digitised formats, regardless of publication date. Participation in the ZDB is free of charge and open to all libraries and institutions. More than 3,700 libraries in Germany and Austria currently use the ZDB to catalogue serial titles and record local holdings; existing title records can also be reused. The ZDB's data underpin a range of services provided by the library networks and libraries in Germany and Austria. AIS now has a bibliographic record in the ZDB, making the journal easier to discover through German-speaking library networks.
AIS focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to surgery, including AI-assisted surgery, surgical robotics, medical imaging, surgical data science, and intelligent decision-support systems. The journal is indexed in Scopus and the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). Its 2026 Journal Impact Factor is 3.9, and its CiteScore Tracker is 4.1 as of October 2026.
