We are delighted to announce that Artificial Intelligence Surgery (AIS) has received its first official Impact Factor of 3.6, as published in Clarivate’s 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) on June 18, 2025. Listed Q1 in the SURGERY category, this milestone marks a major step forward in AIS’s journey and underscores its growing recognition in the global academic community.
This accomplishment reflects AIS’s valuable contributions to the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence (AI) and surgery, and signifies its successful entry into the ranks of internationally respected academic journals.
The Impact Factor is one of the most widely recognized indicators of a journal’s academic influence. Earning an inaugural Impact Factor of 3.6 is a strong endorsement of the journal’s commitment to high editorial and scientific standards. It also reflects the trust and support of our global community of researchers, clinicians, and innovators in the field.
Since its launch in 2021, AIS has been dedicated to publishing cutting-edge research that bridges AI and surgical innovation. Our mission is to promote collaboration, foster knowledge exchange, and accelerate the clinical translation of AI technologies in surgery. This milestone would not have been possible without the collective efforts of our authors, peer reviewers, Editorial Board members, and readers. We extend our deepest gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support and contributions.
We warmly invite you to celebrate this important achievement with us and continue supporting AIS as we work together to push the boundaries of AI and surgical innovation.
