Neuroimmunology and Neuroinflammation (NN) is an open access, peer-reviewed and quarterly online journal. NN aims to provide consensus guidelines and standards for neurologists in Asia-Pacific regions as well as offer advanced research outputs and techniques to clinicians and physicians in the field of neuroscience and neurology worldwide.
Aims and ScopeThe journal focuses on neuroimmunology and neuroinflammation, and the coverage extends to other basic and clinical studies related to neuroscience, including molecular biology, psychology, pathology, physiology, endocrinology, pharmacology, oncology, etc. Articles of clinical interest and with clinical implications will be given preference. The journal specializes in the publication of articles dealing with epidemiological investigation and consensus guidelines and standards in the Asia-Pacific region. Articles in the following areas are especially welcome:
- Mechanisms of regulation of the immune and inflammatory response by the central nervous system;
- Changes in relevant immune and inflammatory reactions at the cellular and molecular level during the development of nervous system diseases;
- Clinical research on immune and inflammatory diseases of the nervous system.
The journal publishes the following types of articles: Original Article, Review, Guideline, Meta-Analysis, Systematic Review, Editorial, Case report, Commentary, etc. Manuscripts with videos are also welcome.
The journal is owned by OAE Publishing Inc.

Articles in NN had been published under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0) by October 2017, whereas the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) was further adopted afterwards. The CC BY 4.0 allows for maximum dissemination and re-use of open access materials and is preferred by many research funding bodies. Under this license users are free to share (copy, distribute and transmit) and remix (adapt) the contribution for any purposes, even commercially, provided that the users appropriately acknowledge the original authors and the source.
Copyright is retained by authors.
