Prof. Zhang is a surgeon in cardiothoracic. He serves in Senior thoracic surgeon, Department of General and Thoracic Surgery, University Hospital of Giessen, Justus-Liebig-University of Giessen since 2018. He was a cardiothoracic surgery residency in the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic, Transplantation and Vascular Surgery, Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany (including 2-year residency in the heart and lung transplantation and LVAD program) during 2003-2011.
