Dr. Habibullah-Al-Mamun received his PhD at the Yokohama National University, Japan with Prof. Shigeki Masunaga. He is an Associate Professor in Fisheries at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Habibullah-Al-Mamun received a large number of honors and awards such as YNU fellowship (Japan), Provost award (Bangladesh), MEXT (Japan), Top Reviewer in the Global Peer Review Awards 2019, powered by Publons, Web of Science Group, etc. Dr. Habibullah-Al-Mamun made outstanding contribution to environmental analytical chemistry aiming to understand the occurrence, fate and behavior of chemicals in the environment and evaluates their effects (hazards) and risks to human health and other organisms in the environment; Sources, fate and transport of trace metals, organic pollutants (e.g. PFAS, PCB, PAH and OCP) and various toxic chemicals in the environment; Chemical speciation and bioavailability of toxic trace metals (e.g. arsenic and mercury) in the environment; Toxicological assessment of environmental pollutants particularly toxic trace metals; Assessment of aquaculture pollution particularly from antibiotic uses; Improvement of aquaculture practices and management. He has published more than 60 scientific papers in high impact journals such as Science of the Total Environment, Chemosphere, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Marine Pollution Bulletin, etc.
