Developing photovoltaic and energy storage devices using photosynthetic reaction centers (RCs), producing hydrogen using photosynthetic proteins, studying charge transfer dynamics in photosynthetic protein-based, photoelectrochemical cells via ultrafast spectroscopy, enhancing light absorption in RC-based cells using plasmonic effects, genetically modifying photosynthetic proteins to improve light absorption, constructing nanoscale scaffolds.
