A Deep Conversation with Newly Appointed Associate Editor Prof. Federico Bella

On April 25, 2024, the Energy Materials (EM) editorial team had the privilege of interviewing Prof. Federico Bella (Torino, 1987), a newly appointed Associate Editor of the journal and Full Professor of Chemistry at Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. Within the Electrochemistry Group, he spearheads research endeavors focused on post-Li batteries, electrochemical nitrogen reduction, and hybrid photovoltaics. He joined the EM editorial team in 2024 in recognition of the journal's academic quality, growing international influence, and alignment with his research vision.

About the Interviewee:

Prof. Federico Bella is Full Professor of Chemistry at Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. He leads research on post-Li batteries, electrochemical nitrogen reduction, and hybrid photovoltaics. He has received several prestigious honors including the ENI Award, the Roberto Piontelli Award, and the Universal Scientific Education & Research Network (USERN) Prize. He has published over 100 international papers and leads the European Research Council (ERC) project SuN2rise on sustainable ammonia production. In addition to his research activities, Prof. Bella serves on the Editorial Boards of leading journals such as ChemSusChem and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, and actively contributes to the global scientific community through peer review and editorial service.
