Bio
Xie Yang is currently an Associate Professor and master's supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, Beihang University. She holds a medical doctorate from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Environmental Economics at the National Institute for Environmental Studies in Japan. She is an editorial board member of the journal Energy, Ecology and Environment and a youth member of the Chinese Optimal Law Coordination and Economic Mathematics Research Association.
Xie Yang’s research focuses on developing the state-of-the-art integrated assessment models to find out the relationship between health impacts and climate mitigation, air pollution control as well as economic development from local to global scale. Her work aims to estimate the cost and benefit of public policy combining epidemiology, econometrics and CGE model. Her research could provide decision-support tools to the policy-makers to evaluate the consequences of each policy action in China.
