Dr. Lu Sun is a Professor at the School of Human Settlements and Civil Engineering, at Xi’an Jiaotong University. His research focuses on (1) To investigate the green development pathways of energy-intensity industries in developing countries. (2) To quantify the environmental impacts of urbanization and climate change on cities and solutions from circular economy practices. (3) To analyze the economic, and environmental benefits of energy system optimization and urban industrial symbiosis. Lu authored more than 50 academic publications in professional journals. Lu’s research has also been covered by some international media outlets and has been cited by policy stakeholders as a scientific basis for environmental policies.
